JOB TITLE: Field Supervisor
Description:
The field supervisor is responsible for communicating instructions and expectations from the owner to contractors and for representing the owner in monitoring and coordinating the contractor’s field construction activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Value safety, quality of work, job profitability, and project schedule.
Read and interpret plans and specifications to build projects correctly
Oversee and monitor contractors’ work.
Coordinate inspections as required or requested by authorities having jurisdiction
Prepare daily reports on construction activities with photos and descriptions.
Communicate instructions and expectations to contractors.
Communicate project issues and concerns with the construction project manager.
Organize, plan, and schedule construction activities.
Assist in all project cost control and measurement tools being used on the project.
Review, understand, and adhere to all contracts.
Maintain insurable driving record.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
Interface with a wide variety of people from Architects and engineers to field personnel and company executives.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
Knowledge and experience in earthwork and utilities construction.
Knowledge and experience in vertical construction a plus but not required.
Ability to read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
Drone pilot's certification a plus but not required
Education and Certificates:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Construction oversight experience.
Minimum of 8 years construction experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours in outside conditions.
Able to pick up and move at least 50 lbs.
