Overview

JOB LOCATION:  Southern Utah

 

FUNCTION: The Construction Field Supervisor is responsible for construction oversight, scheduling and quality assurance for field construction work on land development projects. 

 

REPORTING TO: Construction Project Manager 

 

 
Responsibilities 

  • Proactive management of field construction work for land development projects including earthwork, utilities, roadways, landscaping and amenities resulting in 
  • On-time Delivery 
  • Costs at or under Budget 
  • High Quality 
  • Exceptional Relationships and Reputation 
  • Oversee pre-construction and weekly construction meetings 
  • Coordinate the acceptance of improvements from municipalities and agencies 
  • Thoroughly understand plans and specifications and manage field construction contract changes 
  • Arrange for the proper sequencing of work to minimize overall durations, rework and conflicts 
  • Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, agencies and trade partners 

 
 

Education/Experience/Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a related field including construction supervision experience. 
  • Self-starter and results oriented 
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in written form to a variety of audiences 
  • Exceptional organizational skills 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Strong understanding of the land development and civil construction process 
  • Strengths in forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and planning 
  • Ability to work independently, proactively manage field work on projects and prevent problems. 
  • Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, associates, vendors and others. 
  • Ability to perform complex tasks, handle multiple priorities, and perform under changing conditions and challenging deadlines.
